(TW me being mad ig) My sign language teacher makes me so mad

So before I start obviously she didn't create the signs but the way she describes them makes me want to fight. Also its a asynchronies think that you do form home. But the first thing that made me soooo mad was her explanation on how to remember the sign for "peach". Its a sign where you kinda rub your cheek and she explained it more or less like "you know how men have peach fuz its like that.) which ONE is not true, in the thing she said your dad or your brother, so I assume she was more or less referring to stubble of some sort which is NOT peach fuz. Also I don't know if you know this(/sarcastic) but women grow hair too. Like everywhere that men do.

AND THEN (this one is more normal but it's still erasure) she showed the sign for parents as the sign for mom and then the sign for dad. I'm sure she could have thrown in a "If you're talking about 2 dads you can just do the sign for dad twice (or vice versa)" but no. Like its really that simple.

ANDDDD, she explained the sign for boy which is kinda like if you were closing the mouth of a sock puppet (ig) and its at your forehead, as it being like a guy grabbing the brim of a baseball hat. Thats when I was truly ready to fight. If you cant think of a way to explain it that doesn't inforce traditional gender roles or is just straight up wrong, just don't say anything, its really not that hard

(edit) also when I tell my parents about it they LITERALLY said get over it. My parents and I are SO lib3r@l and I tried to explain the we need to stop normalizing stuff like that. We need to stop just being ok with being erased. Its not ok and they know that, they just don't care.

(another edit) this is a 10-15 class like we're not little kids (I mean the 10 year olds kinda are), we can just memorize it. We're not incompetent.
