We use an anti-spam service on this website which stops people from posting threads and comments if their username, email, IP address, or content of the thread/comment has been flagged as spam by the service's database. In some instances, people's usernames get mistakenly flagged as spam because a spammer previously used that same username on a different website.
This weekend, I added a notice to the profiles of people who have been flagged as spam (only the profile owner and moderators can see it). If you have the orange notice, you can message me and I will set something up so that you will be removed from the spam list the next time you post a comment... assuming you're not actually a spammer, that is!
My inbox had several people messaging me this morning so I think quite a few people have been blocked by the spam service.
