Micheals and the dollar store. Etsy if you are willing to spend a little more. You can also look for lanyard charms, if you want some bigger ones.

i love getting stuff from party stores, dollor stores, or blind boxes from toy sections and just sticking a screw eye pin in em! if you're comfortable with it aliexpress has tons of cute charms and beads! (just don't expect them to come quickly..) mini perlers and mini pony beads are also great for making small charms they just take some getting used to working with

Anything is a charm if you can stick a screw eye in it or drill a hole through it. You can also use flat charm patterns but make them from seed beads instead of pony beads.

Go to a secondhand/thrift store, a single-money store (dollar tree, poundland, wherever), look in everything-stores, etc. Also etsy, ebay, and amazon will have some but make sure to read the reviews. You could also try making your own with air dry clay or other items.
