First cuff: What did you make?

Hey kandi kiddies 1.gif Pretty sure all of us here have made a cuff or two in our lifetime. What did the first one you made look like? Did you follow a pattern or make up your own? Did you keep it or trade it? My first cuff didn't have a pattern... it was a simple striped pattern using pastel violet, pink, cream, and white pony beads. I wove pastel star beads into it, as well as some super cute fairy and unicorn buttons I found at the craft store. I used glitter nail polish to make the star beads sparkle. It turned out really pretty! I didn't trade it, I gave it to my rave sister Julia for her 21st birthday. I'm so bad about giving kandi away as soon as I make it.. but I believe kandi is meant to be shared, not hoarded. There is a beautiful magic to it! 3.gif

I made an orange, yellow and pink chevron cuff The first pattern cuff i made was the rainbow drip pattern, and it made me want to tear my hair out i attempted it twice before i got it right (it had holes in it half way thru that i didn't notice, so i had to cut it apart)

NeonGalaxies, what a cute cuff! I had to leave comments on your kandi, it all is just amazing happy Funny story, but the cuff I was griping about a few posts ago, I decided to wear it today, and I got mad compliments on it. Perhaps I really am too critical! I think I will trade it after all.

My first cuff was a striped rainbow pattern. I redid it like 4 or 5 times because I messed up. xD I still have it for sentimental reasons. c: I followed it from a youtube video. big grin

my first cuff ...technically was this black and rainbow one I did...that I was trying to make a checker pattern but it ended up being this wierd ugly zigzag thing instead...so I took it apart. @u@ lol I tried that without a pattern either... http://kandipatterns.com/photo-page/heartbeat-cuff/25859 ^^^^ So this one was what I made RIGHT after...but I modified a pattern for it. :3 and this cuff I still have because it's precious <3 I prefer to call this one my first cuff.

For my second, I made a rainbow one that says "love"... I made up my own pattern for it and spaced the letters out weird, so I haven't traded it. I don't want to give someone bad kandi and see them get all bummed out! Lol. It's not horrible I guess, but I can be soooo critical of my kandi. I'm a perfectionist about stuff.. I will be almost done with one, then take the whole darn thing apart because it "just doesn't look right." chatterbox

My first cuff was a rainbow striped cuff. Then I started making other cuffs and I realized that the rainbow cuff was very ugly and I took it apart. tongue

First cuff I made was just a rainbow striped cuff, no pattern followed. It said plur at the top. I kept it because i accidently made it 31 around instead of 30, so it turned out terrible.
