[VERY LONG POST AHEAD. sorry but i need to get this off my chest.]

adding on to my previous comment:

for a site that's based around a culture with a focus on respect and kindness, there is an EXTREME amount of unnecessary fighting on here. and what makes it worse is that 90 percent of the time, the fights start from either:

a. someone acting on impulse and not thinking before they speak. i know due to certain underlying circumstances this can't always be controlled, but what makes me angry is that when this happens they usually go "oh i knew this was going to start something!" THEN WHY DID YOU POST IT? come on.

b. someone being rude/agressive/a straight up garbage person to innocent people for no reason other than "iT's My PeRsOnAlITy!!!1!!1!!!1!"

c. someone making a post with triggering content and not putting a proper tw/cw or just being straight up insensitive (no this isn't okay and should be called out, but why is it even here in the first place?)

d. someone condoning the actions of/supporting terrible people (not saying this is okay either, but at the end of the day the best thing to do is to just block these people, because when people on this site become a fan of something, they refuse to let it go no matter how terrible it is. you cannot persuade them, you cannot change their minds, unfortunate but its true.)

e. doing one or more of the above mentioned things and then making the weakest "apology" humanity's ever seen (typical wording of these "apologies": "im sorry and i won't ever do it again i promise! omg plz forgive me ( boo hoo!" *doesn't even address what they did wrong and comes off as whiny and fake*

but the biggest thing is: why are these issues even being bought up on this site? This is literally a site about PLUR, fashion, and beads. and here we have people talking about how they want to harm themselves, people fighting with others over whether this thing they like is less problematic than the thing the other person likes, just being rude for no reason, etc, etc. all of these things directly violate PLUR and pretty much defeat the purpose of the site. this site should not be a dumping ground for your discourse-starting opinions, it should not serve as your space for you to vent and traumadump (pro tip! notes app exists! "but im worried my parents might see it!" the delete button also exists! and friendly reminder that this site is public and therefore not a "safe space". anyone can see what you write and can potentially use any information you tell them against you. or they could respond in a manner that would only make your state of mind worse), and it should ABSOLUTELY NOT be a place for you to take your anger and lash out at people who did nothing wrong.

i'm sorry, but a lot, and i mean A LOT of yall need to do better. here's some advice: if you are tired, having a bad day,or in a bad mood, take a break from this site until you feel better. because being in one of the above mentioned states WILL cause you to say things you don't really mean or may end up seriously hurting someone.
