Kandi bandana help!

I want to make a kandi bandana for my boyfriend, but im not sure on the sizing and dimensions it needs to be. I've made a couple patterns but not sure if they will work, does it need to be even number of beads across, odd? Thanks for the help PLURR

I've made a few bandanas just for the fun of it. I ended up cutting them and reusing beads cause I dont' really wear bandanas and didn't know anyone else who'd like them. but when I made them I just kind of made a triangle (like how you start one side of a bikini) only a little bit bigger. and then made a strap exactly like on a bikini except smaller so it fits around your head.
