Does anyone else have a cow milk phobia or any other food phobia?

I have an abnormal phobia of cow milk. I will not drink it whether its fat free, 2%,1%, skim, flavored or anything else. I will only drink plant based milk (dairy-free). I'll have milkshakes, icecream, chocolate, yogurt, and cheese. But I just won't drink cow milk, period. I can touch the milk gallon at my house but at school I won't even touch those full, small milk cartons. Put a glass of milk in front of me or those full milk cartons and I will get nervous and panic.

Anything in my Mac and cheese.. My mother used to put hotdogs or sometimes peas in our mac and cheese. gross! I also hate stuffing and I don't drink cow's milk because I don't trust the factories it comes from, almond milk all the way! laugh

i can't stand onions, cooked or raw, but when i eat real tacos, i don't mind them on there. also i can't stand mushrooms, but i eat them in my soup when i go get sushi cuz you can't taste them. now this is weird: i don't eat cooked tomatoes, but i will eat them raw on a salad, but they have to be the small grape or cherry tomatoes or else i pick them off. like when it's slices of tomatoes on my salad, i pick them off, but if its the whole cherry or grape tomato, i eat them

My boyfriend has a weird phobia of molded bread. ._. Just bread. He can tolerate other moldy things but it's bread tht gets to him. He can't see it or be around it and I can't even mention "moldy bread" or else he shivers.. it's pretty weird and interesting at the same time. Haha (:

Yeah, your stomach might not like milk anyway since you haven't had it for so long :/ I have tried soy milk, rice milk, almond milk and coconut milk. Out of those rice milk is my favorite. I get the unsweetened kind. I drink it every day on my cereal happy I drank almond milk before this but it adds almond flavor to everything which can be kind of gross. I suspect that hazelnut might be the same way.

I think if I can't get over my entomophobia that I've had since childhood that I may not get over my milk phobia. The only way to get rid of the milk phobia is if I drank milk and didn't get sick. But since I've gone without milk for so long I don't think I'll ever drink it again due to my fear of getting sick. I would hate to drink something and then vomit afterwards. I keep my cow milk phobia a secret from my family, friends, and others (especially aquantinces). I keep it a secret because I don't want to get made fun of like I did in the past with my entomophobia. I would however share my food phobia with someone that has a milk/dairy allergy or is lactose intolerant (or people like you of course who get acne or something after eating or drinking a dairy product). Reason why is because they get it and others don't. Its not a big deal to me if I have it. Plant based milk is better anyway because you get a lot of varieties of them. There's almond, coconut, soy, rice, hemp, oat, hazelnut, and 7 grain milk. They can be different flavors as well. I want to ask my mom about buying the plant based milk but I'm not sure if she will or not. I hope she does though.

My mum absolutely does NOT have a phobia, sorry if it seemed like that's what I was saying. I know there's a big difference. It just seemed related to your post. She's the only person I know who is disgusted by milk and I've never met anyone with a phobia of it. I'm sure you're not the only one though. Do you want to get over your phobia? Or is it not that big of a deal to you, are you able to avoid it easily enough?

Is your mom just disgusted with milk or does she actually have a phobia? There's a difference with being disgusted and hating something than actually having a great fear over it. I'm not trying to be rude or anything (just in case you think I am). Also it doesn't sound fun to be eating or drinking something and you get zits and pimples every time. I also forgot to mention that I'm afraid of drinking cow milk because I haven't drank it in a long time (even though I consume other dairy products). I fear that if I go back to drinking it that I'll get sick (vomit). Ever since I came down with this phobia I've felt embarrassed about the thought of drinking it (its just not fear like you think). I'm not sure why. I guess its because I get nervous around it or something.

That's very interesting.... my mum gets grossed out by milk because she was forced to drink it in school, but I don't think she gets nervous. I don't have any food phobias but I can't drink milk because dairy gives me acne.
