@C_Valentine: fully agree, i was a cheer leader and i ended up quitting bc the girls were so mean like they would threaten to jump me if i didnt quit, and they did it 2 times i had a black eye for 2 weeks. there was only one person who was nice and she is the only other trans person on that team, she was super nice to me and me and her are still friends i gave her all my old dresses she loves them >:3

Furries are good people and dont think their animals and its not a $ex thing for most furries like me and my friends, i love furry art and creativity and fursuits some of them are super complex

@Sleepy_Loss: also i really don't like south park. i totally understand that it's satire, but it's,,,i think satire has a really important place when discussing issues but i don't think that this was the correct medium for it. i just, yeah, i can get pretty triggered (in the PTSD way lmao) by watching it. i'm absolutely chill with people who enjoy it though

i do adore the book of mormon though, which is by the same creators.

we need significantly more radical change than social democracy could provide in america. i'm talking anarchy, communism, social-anarchism.

far left and far right ideologies are often united through antisemitism. (I am a proud leftist, but acknowledge this issue in my community.)

leftist infighting is the biggest issue stopping us from creating change. instead of agreeing on larger issues and putting effort in, we fight on the semantics. idc if you're a socialist and i'm an anarchist; we can see that change needs to happen in our economic structure, let's start there,

we need to criticize the problematic aspects of religion more openly. criticizing a religion is not the same as criticizing a race of people. there are ways to talk about issues in Islam, Buddhism, etc... without being racist OR insulting the belief.

you should not teach your children your religion/enforce the practice until they are over 12. doing so should be considered abuse. children are most influenced by their parents until the age of twelve, and dismantling those beliefs (if they choose to leave your religion) as they get older can be an incredibly traumatic experience. i say this as an ex-christian who is working through their religious trauma.

purity culture is the root of a lot of eating disorders in america.

purity culture has no place in society, and leftists should focus more on how to safely challenge purity ideals without shaming modesty. modesty isn't the problem. coercion into it is.

separation between art and the artist is crucial to ethically consuming media. no ethical consumption under capitalism? yeah, that applies to music and physical art as well. art isn't always a reflection of the artist, or even what the artist agrees with. it's a separate thing. however, art that is problematic in itself should be acknowledged as such and disregarded.

vent art has no place in online spaces.
