I use "Clear Stretch Cord" from Walmart.

I use the clear elastic (I know everyone hates it but I have had no problems with it ever, and I used it when I was little and used to make real jewelry too) I have also used to white elasticated string, but I really don't like it for peyote pieces so I tend not to buy it. I also don't like the white fibers it leaves after cutting. See picture for example

I use the elastic cord from WalMart only the clear ones though, they have the best stretch ability without breaking.

I use clear elastic string I know there is lots if hate to it but I love it it works the best for everything I don't like elasticated string because it shows in between the beads and it sends me crazy.
