Question to all my hyperfixators here (a little bit vent-y?)

SleepinqZzz 3/11/2022 05:28 pm 992

is it normal to feel ashamed for hyperfixating? Like- I’m currently obsessing over a show at the moment but I feel really guilty about it for some reason and idk why. And this morning I stared at an eraser stuck in the light at school for like 2 minutes and almost cried because I was so embarrassed and felt like I did something wrong.

Any other nd people have similar experiences?

@Mush_bRainz: I feel that so badly- I’m currently hyperfixating on Bluey… as a 13 year old boy.

No one should never be ashamed of what they hyperfixate on but goddamnit it feels so embarrassing to hyperfixate on like children's stuff, or people, or like just weird stuff.

Yup.All the time. What really makes me feel guilty is when i talk for hours about my hyperfixations.
