musicians and goofy ass names

Is it just me, or do most alt artists have really stupid names so you feel embarrassed talking about them?? How am i meant to look at someone with full confidence, and say "I really like the song November by Psychedelic Porn Crumpets" I will never live down the shame of telling my friend I like Butthole Surfers. Does anyone else have the curse of good artists with awful names???

I love the name to breakcore songs on youtube. A few examples (all /safe )

i follow an artist on spotify whose account is FILLED w/ stuff like this XD

"the gayest monkey lesbian lover band with puking horses and widows." every single song has a title like that nd i have listened to none of them.

the more hardcore your punk the weirder the names get- honestly though i can't say that "discharge" *isn't* a banger name for a crust punk band tho

i thought this meant musician names and i was expecting to see silly actual human names. but I can bring you: greg graffin (that alone isn’t funny, the funny part is that THERES ANOTHER GREG IN HIS BAND: greg hetson)

more tame than 'butthole surfers' i would say but most of my friends aren't familiar with grunge bands and whenever i mention that i like hole.. it's quite embarrassing

i have the opposite problem, i really like dance gavin dance but all their song names are so WEIRD like how am i supposed to explain that i like their song called The Robot With Human Hair pt 2 1/2
