Use the string that has a fabric covering, its stronger and easier to tie! If you have a dollar tree near you, they sell the string for quite cheap. Make sure to maintain a bead size if you can! It's quite annoying to realize a bead is a different size than the rest and your project gets ruined. Don't be afraid to have something that isn't perfect! Everyone has a starting place!! If you get distracted while looking at patterns, I usually take a screenshot and mark off bead by bead, or a row at a time of beads that I've strung already. And, remember to bead for yourself. Don't worry so much about what others may think of your projects, do it for you! It's your style and you should work it how you want!!! Hope your beading goes well!!!

This is a pretty big tip i had to learn a couple of months ago, but dont pull too tightly. With charms it might be okay, but with cuffs, singles, necklaces, etc, its not the best idea to pull to tightly because it will be unwearable! thats the best tip i can give you. hklove (sorry if that made no sense crying)

for tutorials i reccomend mood kandi on youtube (and tiktok? idk i dont have access to tiktok) and slackerstragedy also on youtube and tiktok, there are many many different ppl who give tutorials (such as Ginger Kand-E, KandiToyBox, and TurboBeads) but i tend to gravitate towards mood kandi and slackerstragedy much more :]

if you use clear string, be aware that it could rot in a few years, so make sure to re-string stuff made with clear string every year or so!
if you wanna do cuffs, I recommend learning x-bases first! they're suuper easy, and you can make all types of things with x-bases!

if you try something new dont give up on it

i tried making something when i first started out and then i stopped cuz i thought it was too hard but it will seem hard at first and usually once you make something one time it will seem way easier every time after
