A Question on Starting Backpacks...

Okay so I want to make a kandi backpack/bag and I was just wandering what is the BEST string/material you could use that is at a decent price (lol i'm not the richest of people but definitely not the poorest) ANY tips or tricks i EXTREMMMELY appreciate Thanks guys <3

its best to use fishing line for backpacks but when I made wallets I used elastic string and attached a zipper. so for your backpack use fishing line unless its for light things then you can use elastic. you just don't want it to break on you. lol

For my backpacks I ALWAYS use fishing line. It's cheaper, comes in more quantities & it holds the shape of the bag better. I always use Trilene 30 lb test; it works great As for other tips; use the multi method. Don't make separate panels and sew them together; it takes way too long & it complicates the result.

Like everybody else said, fishing line is the best to use.

I would use fishing line. I like to use 20lbs but you van probably go with 10 or even 5lbs (Depending on how big it is and what you would carry in it) You can get a load of fishing line anywhere and it's usually pretty cheap. Try Walmart or a sporting store. I got mine at Big 5 for about 5 dollars. I've been using it for almost six months and I still have SOOOO MUCH! Hope this helps

i would use fishing line cause you can get alot and its pretty cheap, i would try to get the lowest weight that you think is good, i used 5lbs fishing line when i made a small bag but the weight of the string should depend on how big the bag is and what you plan on carrying in it

I used fishing line for my Pikachu bag, but it stretched to much...for the bag I'm about to make I'm using braided fishing line. It holds more weight and it doesn't stretch, plus it's much easier to tie...it's not super expensive, though it depends where you buy it. I hope this helps.
