ppl who dress alt!! whats the weirdest thing someone has asked or said about your style?

i'll go first!

okay, so i dress in decora kei and ive been dressing in it since around 2020-2021 (or atleast trying to bc i dont have that many accessories yet) and the weirdest questions i have gotten so far have been from my dad.

yesterday he asked two questions:

"do you want to be an anime character?" and "do you want to be japanese?" both of which i said no to, because of course i dont want to be an anime character or japanese?? huh?? 513b55c721dfa_kao_confused.gif

the "do you want to be japanese?" question was because i was wearing a mask and people in japan wear masks more there?? which wasn't really related to my outfit but i thought i would include it because its pretty weird? i was just wearing a mask because of the pandemic 513b55c6e7e8b_kao_blank.gif

Had some like,, 17-19 y/o boys ask me if I thought it was halloween everyday, I did say yes but it was weird af

another thing- i guess u could consider me scene and kids follow me around screaming "eMo!! EmO!!" and sing "i fElL iN lOvE wItH aN eMo gOwRl" at me...

like bruh i'm not emo XD

i dress in a lot of like homemade items , long skirts , tank tops , similar to fairy grunge bc i listen to a LOT of folk punk music , right ? i consider myself folk punk , so i've been like ,,,, asked if im a mormon before ??? bc of the long skirt ????????? like bestie -

not rlly a question but nobody can get my style right kao cry it’s mostly like punk/emo ish but ive been called emo, goth, scene, grunge, literally everything shock

dont get asked anything and these arent really weird but i get barked at a lot, little kids and old ppl stare at me and comments on my platform shoes that i have no idea how to respond to crying
