Kandi Ideas & Kandi Supplies
Things to put on kandi
The easiest way to create awesome-looking kandi bracelets - besides using novelty beads - is to add fun toys and other items. You can find small toys at party stores like Party City, and in the party favor section of stores like Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart. Below are some items that are fun and are easy to attach to kandi bracelets and other kandi jewelry.

Best String for Kandi
There's some controversy over what is the best type of string to use for kandi bracelets. Most of the hardcore kandi cuff makers I know (myself included) swear by elasticated string - the kind that feels like it's wrapped in fabric. We prefer this type of string because it's easy to use and lasts a long time. It doesn't snap as easily as the plastic type of string, such as Stretch Magic. For this reason, I strongly recommend you use elasticated string for kandi, especially if you're just starting out. Out of the string below, the medium thickness is the one I use for most kandi bracelets. The heavy string is very thick and is best for things like kandi necklaces and accessories. It doesn't stretch very much though so it's not as good for kandi bracelets. If you buy your string in a store, be sure to get the "Stringing" 1mm string from Michael's. The elasticated string at Jo-Ann's is bad quality.White Elastic Cord 100yd - Medium | White Elastic Cord 144yd - Heavy |
