So I tried to go to an event last night called Uprise in LA with Darren Styles, S3rl, and others. I didn't even get inside before the cops shut it down for a number of curfew violations. Parties in LA have been getting shut down lately because of the death of the 15-year-old girl at EDC, and other parties have been becoming 18+ only. I know that many of my visitors are under 18, and many live in California, and you're probably all wondering how this is going to affect your ability to rave. I personally don't know whether all parties everywhere in California will become 18+ only, or if they do, whether it will be permanent or not.

But while all this is happening, I don't think you should take a break from making kandi. If anything, I think you should make and trade more and wear it with pride. Let's show everyone that even though they can shut down events, they can't remove raving from our hearts. Because although "...you may shut down any given party, on any given night, in any given city, in any given country or continent on this beautiful planet, you can never shut down the entire party. You don't have access to that switch, no matter what you may think. The music will never stop. The heartbeat will never fade. The party will never end. I am a raver, and this is my manifesto."
