Kandi Mask Help and Tips??

So, even though my B-Day party is 2 months away, i'm trying to figure it out NOW so I don't later when I get stressed. fishing line vs stretch magic for masks

which do you suggest works the best for making masks in general ?

I've read that using fishing line for surgical kandi masks keeps it nice and tight and makes a good shape

but for full face masks (like the sub zero or sugar skull mask) I heard using stretch magic worked best.

what was best with your experience ?

Kandi Mask..

I've been making kandi for about a year now and in that year I've made about 4 masks...my problem here is, is I can't seem to make them to the right ize. They are either way too big for my face or way two small. How do I fix this?

This is a mask I made about a month ago and its way to big for me and I dont know how to improve making masks besides practice because I don't have enough time on my hands to really make masks.

Is it possible to make a surgical kandi mask using yarn?

Most of the question is in the title itself. But to elaborate, a lot of the videos and tutorials I've seen people make talking about making kandi masks have the people using fishing line for the main part of the mask (and then elastic string for the ear loops). I don't have access to fishing line at the moment, but i want to make a mask for this event i have coming up in a few days. So is it possible for me to make that base part of the mask using regular yarn?

How would one go about this? Can it be a normal mask like a sergical or ninja mask with more added on or does it have to b a gas mask?

I need a mask template either blank or one that is numbered . I'd greatly appreciate it :3 I know how to make the masks but only with the use of a template and I need to customize it with a specific logo for a friend but I can't find any blank mask templates

I just finished my first Kandi, and it was a mask, how did I do?

Hi kp,

I just created my first kandi anything(haven't even made any singles yet. I threaded a cheshire cat mask I saw on kp and was wondering how I did. I still need to buy the elastic for the straps which is why I'm holding the mask.

The pattern I used was an odd count mask, but I treated it like 2 even counts(I doubt this is a new idea, but I thought of it out of frustration with the extra steps in odd count.)

Basically I stitched the first half using the middle…

idea with kandi masks :3!!

i hads an idea w my kandi masks that i culd wear a normal mask under it and have it still b functional and !! it works !!! :3 the only problem is my straps r a bit too small so i tied some elastic to them to go arounds the back of my heads and that fixed it ^w^ !!! if u hav kandi masks u wanna wear out then id say this is a good ideas to try !!

Fishing line for Sub Zero mask

hi! i started making a sub zero mask with 20 lb fishing line but it's still a lot floppier than i'd like it to be. this weight works really well for surgical masks but this mask seems to be way too heavy lol.

would it be worth it to try a different weight fishing line to make it more sturdy? or should i just go for a thick cloth-covered cord? if so, what size would be best? lmk what works for y'all!!

Kandi mask-Stretch or Fishing line?

When making a Kandi mask is it OK to use fishing line? Or would it not turn out right? I want to know because I'm trying to make a mask but I don't have a lot of string left and I'm using it for something else. I have a SO MUCH fishing line tho.

Gas Mask Respirators, anything supporting the tube besides the stitching?

Fishing line and masks

I hear all the time that fishing line is great for masks. And so I have this line....but it's all curly, you know, from being on the spool for so long and what not. So I'm having a hard time getting this mask to not be a circle...one girl said I needed to pull it tighter...but it's already super tight and it hurts to pull on it ;o;

So....any tips on that?
