Is it bad to buy kandi?

Ya, I made an account just to ask this, kinda dumb I know lol

I'm a bit of a new scene kid (Not sure about being a kandi kid but at the same time I'm not familiar with the differences) and whenever my friends ask if I made my kandi and I tell them I bought it they normally look at me weirdly, is it like, looked down upon to buy kandi? I want to start making my own but I love the ones I bought so I'd hate having to throw them out to avoid being a poser : (

Edit: Should've mentioned this but I buy my kandi from Etsy, lol

its ok to buy it! I would recommend buying it off of Etsy or something tho, so it supports small businesses. there's a lot of kandi sellers on Etsy!

There will always be people who will say yes, but I personally don't agree with that. Sometimes people like the aesthetic of kandi but don't know how to make it themselves, so buying it from someone who knows how to make it is a valid option. In the early days of this site, I sold a few cuffs to people who were desperate to own cuffs but didn't know how to make them, and who insisted on paying me for them (I think it was about $10/cuff). I put just as much love and care into those cuffs as I did for the ones that I gave away at raves.

But yes, please don't buy commercially-produced kandi like from Hot Topic etc. It has more meaning if someone has made it by hand. You don't want a piece of machine-made kandi that thousands of other people have. That's just a bracelet.

Buy all the stuff u want just not from big retailors like hot topic, amazon or like claires and sh. Buy from etsy/depop aka small shops! Just bc its not true kandi unless someone makes it with there pure little hearts lol. Its just a bracelet not kandi
