Do you have to sort your beads (by color) or does it matter? :)

I bought a big bucket of pony beads and I dont have the patience to sort them lol. I also have been using zip locks because I don't have an organizer, so it's been kind of annoying to keep up with :-\

You don't have to sort your beads if you don't want to. A lot of people sort their beads because it's easier to find the colors they want but it's really up to you.

I tend to buy the ones that are already sorted and avoid the tubs, having them mixed would irritate me because I wouldn't know how many of each color I'd have

I usually don't sort them but it's a little time consuming that way.

I like to sort my beads but you don't necessarily have to. That's just a preference thing. I get a little overboard on my sorting but in the end it makes me feel better and I know where everything is. I will even organize my tubs of bead mixes from Wal-Mart. I don't really care too much about sorting by color when I organize my bead mixes, it's about shape and similarities beads share. Then when I get to the beads that don't apply to any other beads I sorted, I put them in a baggie labeled 'Miscellaneous'. Then I use the tub for pony beads I have a lot of in one color. When I run out of traditional storage, there's ziploc baggies, glass bottles, and I just recently asked my mother for an empty tissue box. I'm going to decorate it a little and then put some my baggies in it since they're starting to burst of of a box I keep them in. What I have is an organized mess.

Michales has organizers for $2 I personally like to sort mine but I don't think you have to. It's just easier if you are looking for specific colors for a pattern

Yes! I don't have the patience to look through them in a pile

Most of my beads are organized by color. The only reason why some of mine aren't is because I don't have enough organizers for them ALL. I'll use anything to store my beads though. ziploc bags, bead organizers, or even the plastic tubs that the beads came in. x3 Sometimes, I'll put only two different colors together in one space when I'm running out of things to put them in. @u@;; But when I do that, it's Warm (Red/Orange/Yellow) colors together and Cool (Green/Blue/Purple) colors together. :3

I don't sort my beads. I'm in your situation pretty much: I don't have those sorter things so I either keep them in the bucket/bag they came in or get zip-locks. When buying an individual color by the bag, they're already sorted obviously. But as for tubs of neon or any other kind of beads, I don't sort them. I don't really care if they're all mixed in together. Recently a teacher has given me beads in sorters so I organized those, but that's pretty much it. I don't freak out over it- As long as I know where everything is, it's fine-- My drawer of beads is just bags hahaha
