How much kandi did you wear when you first started raving?

At first I was kinda worried about people in the scene thinking I was jumping into everything too quickly, but I want to hear how other people were. How much kandi did you wear to your first rave? How much did ya wear by your 10th? How long before you started wearing phats? If you did at allwinking

rainbowsmile My friend and I start the night with sleeves of kandi, by the end of the night we'd give them all away. rainbowsmile

I have to say, I really don't like wearing kandi much. It cuts off my already poor blood circulation, so I wear very little on my arms at events. I LOVE making it, though, and being able to share it with people. Even though I've just started out, I barely wear any at all, but I think I've found a better way than just stuffing it all in a backpack. happy I plan to wear a belt with all the kandi I need to take to my next event, and I hope it turns out well!

my first rave i wore quite a lot of kandi to kinda show off my skills lol but i havent really been to my 10th yet because me and my boy would rather hang out with friends at this point and not spend the money to go to an event unless its a small one and such lol and for phats, i always wear them to a party haha they are my favorite because even thought i suck at dancing it makes me look better then I am haha and now i hardly ever wear kandi

In my town, dubstep concerts were mostly just filled with computer nerds. More and more ravers started showing up, so I figured "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" Now here I am... lovin' every concert and fellow kandi lover like family (: Now I wear just a few cuffs, but focus on more creative pieces like bikinis and such. Nobody is judging you, do what feels right (:

My first rae, I wore a few cuffs and singlets and ended up giving most of it away. In the beginning of the night my whole forearms were full, and by the ennd, they were only half full. I didn't wear phat pants, though I had tutus, which are also very popular :3 You should wear as much as your comfortable with because some can handle having their whole arm covered and some can handle only half. Some like phat pants, some tutus, some shorts :3

Just read the under-text Then this is me at me 10th rave (At this time I was still very much wearing mostly pieces that were traded to me) And only people who shuffle wear phats, in Seattle, so I have never worn them. And then the second picture is what I currently wear (after 3.5 years in the scene)

You should just wear as much as your comfortable with, unless your worried it will break, dont wear any, or just dont wear the important ones

I actually don't really wear any kandi at all when I rave, it's just a preference I guess. If I'm wearing a costume I'll make kandi to go along with it and wear that, but if I don't have a costume then it's really rare if I do wear kandi to a rave

My first rave came up on very short notice, only a few months after I started getting into making kandi/beaded bracelets, and literally two days before the event! I had a few "mundane" cuffs that I wore regularly that weren't really that bright and "rave"-ish. But because it was close to my friend's birthday, and she was going with me, I made her two really nice bracelets, and just went simple for me.

That was a good idea to post a photo happy here's one from my first rave. It actually looks like I'm wearing 5 on my visible wrist, and they're ugly lol. I'm on the right.
