I just found out I can't wear any beads at all to my new highschool. I'm so devastated. Who else has bad luck like this? :c

Uniforms actually save you money. It's normally a lot cheaper than buying tons of normal clothes. I do think the jewelry rules sound too strict though.

They should AT LEAST allow small stuff, like one single, mini cuff or something like that. And are they going to provide the uniforms? Because it seems a waste of money on buying even MORE clothes.

I don't think many people would care enough to help me petition.. :l I'm only a freshman. I was excited because this school let's you dye your hair any color, and even though it has uniforms, they have more available colors than my last school, but when I hheard of this rule, it made me miss my old school, because atleast I can wear my kandi. :c they won't even allow religious beads, like rosaries.

my old school was fun at first.. then we got a new principal. everything went down hill. ABSOLUTELY no chains/spikes/studs (the punk kids weren't too happy about that one), no plain red or plain blue hoodies OR shirts, no alchohol/drug related ANYTHING (even a sticker in your binder would get you a months worth of detention), skirts HAD to be to the middle of your knee cap (if not you would be suspended for the rest of the week), no kandi, no sweat bands.. it felt like Prison. then at the beginning of my Junior year, we HAD to have uniforms. ugly things.. the jackets were grey with dark navy blue lining, the shirts were regular white blouses, and the skirts were grey and dark blue plaid skirt (i kinda actually liked the skirt), with white knee-high socks and black dress shoes that HAD to have a 2 inch heel. long story short, we all went on strike cuz we hated the uniforms. now, no more uniforms. anything is possible!!! big grin

well i agree it does suck but monarch has a point you should find out first because at my school they banned tripp pants from hot topic because they claim there a weapon the chains are but in reality my school was just trying to make people conform and look better for perspective parents and if you think that youve got it bad at my school i got pulled into the office because i was wearing a asymmetrical top one side had a sleeve that went up to the elbow the other one was a spaghetti strap and i got pulled in by the assistant principle and was told that i violated dress code but all those girls who are wearing shorts so short and so tight that they could be considered undergarments never get in trouble because she never "sees" them wearing them when they travel in groups angry i feel for you but life isent fair and sometimes you either deal with it, petition it, or revolt and lead a walk-out but the third is not a bright idea

If it is something that really bothers you, you can try to start a petition to change it, or find out why they have been banned. Either way, you should respect the schools rules
