TBHK MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD FOR BOOK 6

hate when people boil down hanako's character, his whole personality isn't just being clingy nor slightly perverted either, he's such a well written character with different morals than what you would normally see in anime. he tries so hard to protect those around him, even if it means forgetting to look after himself.

he's not yashiro's ideal friend nor love interest but he tries to make sure that the little time yashiro has left is fun, that's why he always takes her with him, gives her hugs and messes around with her, he's not doing it because he is lazy and doesn't want to do his job as a school mystery, he's doing it because he knows yashiro is going to die soon and knows how hard that's going to be for her and those around her, so he's trying his best to make sure that whenever she does in fact die, she wont have lived a life she was unhappy with. and when she does pass on she will have lived a life she will remember in the afterlife!

hanako is dead. he didn't want to care about the living, he didn't plan to care about yashiro. i feel like people need to look into his character a little more before calling him lazy!!
