I recently found out I might have ADHD, but I feel like I might be wrong, What are common symptoms/experiences of people who have ADHD?

Were you diagnosed with hyperactive type, inattentive type, or combination? If you don't know it was probably hyperactive type.

Stims/Tics

Fixating on media (Ex: before i was professional diagnosed, all i could think about, talk about, draw about, etc was danganronpa.)

Unable to focus

Heavily struggling in certain things.

Hyperactive

Not thinking before acting/saying.

@Keroppi: I haven't been professionally diagnosed, but I relate to more of the inattentive type!

I was professionally diagnosed when I was in like Pre-K but ADHD affects everyone diffrently

Like for me I have a hard time going over the same content multiple times, so like its hard for me to sit down and study

I almost constantly have to be doing something whether it be watching videos, doing schoolwork, drawing, etc.

i have no filter basically.

some less talked about symptoms i've had are:

struggling with a sense of time

executive dysfunction or weak executive function

taking rejection/insults to heart, even if they might not be meant as hurtful (rejection sensitive dysphoria)

@pmknz: well i dont see the problem with saying you "might" have ADHD, especially if you plan on / are working with professionals. could you explain why saying you might have it is bad?- an autistic person (diagnosed)

@Prussia: Ok so I actually have inattentive type. I tend to have a really hard time just sitting down and focusing on one thing. My mind will gradually start drifting, causing me to switch between tasks a lot. I kinda always feel like I'm in a fishbowl because of how my brain is processing stuff. It's hard to explain lol. I also hyperfixate A LOT. I get really really into things to the point where I'm thinking about it no matter what I'm doing. As PixytheFox said, it affects everyone differently.
