So I want to tell my mom that im an enby... but IDK how shes gonna feel because she doesn't agree with they/them and IDK when to come out... I'm about to cry bc of how scared I am... I need help.

Edit: I DO NOT have an abusive mom. She doesn't agree with being genderless bc "I'm still a girl either way".

if you feel unsafe and like she is going to hurt you, then dont do it. if you would not be in any danger, then it should be fine to do it.

if you dont think she'll accept you, dont come out yet. its much safer to stay in the closet if you arent sure that someone will accept you.

@1312_kandi_kid_1312: I don't feel like she's going to hurt me... She's really nice but doesn't agree with they/them... I'm 13 and IDK how to feel about coming out now. I used to feel like I was lesbian then wanted to change my pronouns, and wanted to be enby/ trixic.

@le_cl0s3ted_p3rs0n: i would say that you should probably wait until youre an adult/legally able to leave the house. if you do end up telling her, tell her why you are nb and try to help make it make sense to her. ik from personal experience that it can be confusing for some ppl thet have never related/used they/them

I don't know if that is considered safe. I would agree with many people in the comments and say wait. However, you should try to educate your mom, since it might be a misunderstanding. Either way you are Enby and VALID!
