Hi!! CALLING ALL AGERE!!!

I wanted to see if age regressors were as common as I thought! (because its a bit tough for me to find agere friends, or just any for that matter) BUT lately I've seen a LOTTT, and wanted to see how many of them were on here! (i saw a thread about agere smp thing, you've probably seen it!)

WHAT IS AGERE???? : Age regression occurs when someone reverts to a younger state of mind. This retreat may be only a few years younger than the person’s physical age. It could also be much younger, into early childhood or even infancy. (this definition is from healthline.com) and

Age regression is when somebody reverts to a child-like state of mind, often as a coping mechanism for things like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Basically age regressors are more at-peace and worry-free whilst in "little space" (A term for when one is in said mindset). These people simply need breaks from the stress of being old and often have a childish personality even outside of regression (Though sometimes it's not as obvious). (and Age regression is mainly used by those who struggle with childhood trauma!!)
Contrary to popular belief, age regression is NOT a kink or even related to sexual intercourse whatsoever. Some age regressors refer to themselves as littles and to their significant other as "Daddy", "Mommy", or just as their "Caregiver" Since they'd typically take care of their "Little" as if they're an actual child. (from urban dictionary)

UPDATE: HI ZOMG :O I havent been on here in a real long while, sorry for not responding to yall. Im just very glad there's so many of us it makes me happy!! Though I havent regressed in a long time, so hopefully i can get back into it once I feel more comfy to thank yall again for commenting!

i usually do it for our little alter, izzy! she's 5 so its hard for her to be in our system when the youngest person, other than her, is me and im 15.

i usually do from being 3-5!

its best for all of us if she has someone to be around, who is about her age

But basically, Age Regression is a coping mechanism used by people with childhood trauma! Where you revert back to a child headspace to cope and feel safe! D Its very helpful for us age regressors, since most of our childhoods are traumatic

@xx__bLu3_v10L3tS__xx: Age regression is when someone acts like they are an age younger than they are. They'll have things like pacifiers, sippy cups, etc. The ages can go from a newborn to even a teenager. It's used as a coping mechanism usually from people with childhood trauma. Sometimes it voluntary, and some people can't control it. It's not to be confused with DDLG, which is a k*nk. I age regress to about 5-6. Also, you don't have to be an adult to age regress. I'm 13 and i still do it. It's just an age that is quite a bit younger than you are, and it isn't a k*nk, so you don't have to be a certain age to do it. Hope this helps!

@doublezero: hey this is *almost* right. we dont "act" like were younger we literally revert/regress to a younger mindset. *acting* like it is techinically ageplay (whether s3xual or not).
edit: 90% of the time, its not voluntary as (from what ive learned in the community) its not something that can be or should be *especially* if you just want to for fun. not saying you said and/or think this, just saying for info. some can try and "push" themselves to regress (by surrounding themselves with things they usually use/do when regressed) if they had had a stressful day, relapse, or anything. /nm
