the mcyt fandom is a disappointment

(im not gonna be using my typing quirk) ok, so, i love being in this fandom but we get such a bad rep because of all the assholes in the fandom. like, i can name so many godamn things RIGHT NOW on why this fandom is so shit and toxic. im gonna name 5

1) niki is getting sexualized because she posted a picture of her in a tank top.

2) eret got cancelled for saying he didnt know what a nonbinary lesbian is.

3) tommy, tubbo andd all the minors are getting sexualized even though they have expressed that they are not comfortable with it.

4) dream got cancelled for streaming when people were sleeping.

yeah. all that shit was and still is happening. the people in this fandom hate mcyts. im sure of it. its never the kids that are like, 13. ita always the older people in the fandom that try to create drama.

anyway, lmk your thoughts

(EDIT: im no longer in this fandom and i dont like any of the ppl mentioned but i still believe that they dont deserve hate for what is mentioned)

i just absolutely hate the fandom, yk. mainly because of what some fans did at a native american place. but quakity is one of my comfort creators (ive been subbed since 2018) and litteraly i just cant deal with the fandom.

this is why i left the fandom and just watch ranboo, george, and wilbur every so often lol

and most of the time when i watch their stuff i try to stay away from minecraft related stuff because eughhgh, and like- i've been in toxic fandoms before but the mcyt (especially dream smp) fandom is just so very mentally draining.

yeahhh i’m not a part of the fandom but i keep up on the bs the toxic fans do and i’m just like….. man. y’all need to go the fuck outside. like genuinely these people need to step away from the internet if THESE are some of the things they’re getting upset over instead of real fucken problems. (not talking abt the chill fans !!!)

i love minecraft and some of the people in the dream smp (i've been watching wilbur, quackity, and schlatt for years) but i kind of hate saying i like them anymore because when people think mc/mcyt they think about the really bad part of the fandom. i know not all dsmp fans are bad but there's so much bad it's almost hard to find the good

1've mainly started focusing on Slimecicle (was already a massive fan of him and no drama is with him that 1 know of), Quackity (hes funny and comforting) and the rest of las nevadas. 1've given up on the rest since there is so much and when they aren't doing stuf with dsmp or mcyt, 1 dont check on it. its sad honestly
