(im not gonna be using my typing quirk) ok, so, i love being in this fandom but we get such a bad rep because of all the assholes in the fandom. like, i can name so many godamn things RIGHT NOW on why this fandom is so shit and toxic. im gonna name 5

1) niki is getting sexualized because she posted a picture of her in a tank top.

2) eret got cancelled for saying he didnt know what a nonbinary lesbian is.

3) tommy, tubbo andd all the minors are getting sexualized even though they have expressed that they are not comfortable with it.

4) dream got cancelled for streaming when people were sleeping.

yeah. all that shit was and still is happening. the people in this fandom hate mcyts. im sure of it. its never the kids that are like, 13. ita always the older people in the fandom that try to create drama.

anyway, lmk your thoughts

(EDIT: im no longer in this fandom and i dont like any of the ppl mentioned but i still believe that they dont deserve hate for what is mentioned)

i dont rlly like the new mcyt fandom cause the fandoms rlly toxic and they still support some homophobic and racist mcyt creators despite knowing their actions ((((( (2015-2018 fandom was much better because stampy and dantdm and little kelly and those other people they were ze best!)

dream's also rlly racist and his fans attacked a black nonbinary lesbian by saying a shit ton of slurs and they doxxed them all just because they called dream and his fandom out for the rampant racism in the fandom

ok as someone who watches mcyt as boredom coping i am usually unaware of this - the only part of fandoms I am relatively close to is the occasional cosplayer on my tiktok fyp - I agree this is fucking awful and they're taking it too far wtf is wrong with some people

yeah i honestly couldn’t agree more. it’s blown up so fast that most content creators have little to no control over their audiences (dream, tommy, etc.) and the lax or rarely stated boundaries that they have are constantly getting broken. plus, the amount of toxicity over different takes on lore or content creators scandals are insane. i have friends who have gotten death threats for having a differing opinion on what c!’s lore meant.

i left the fandom, but am still in a few servers and watch some streams. yet if i’m being totally frank, i’m gonna book it and cut everything related to this fandom out of my life when tubbo and tommy turn 18. i don’t know what’s gonna happen per se, but the amount of sexualization is only going to get so, so much worse. it’s a fucking disappointment
