Usually for most type of alt subculture fashion you would have to find clothes that are pretty much affordable and add some DIY things until its at what you want it to look like. You can also find some cool things at thrift stores and online. it really depends on which subculture you're apart of and how much you want to look part of it.

i have been dressing alt for almost 5 years now, it depends if u want more fem look, or masc, like if fem i rec cute shorts like ripped ones, more neon kind of, or masc a lot of skinny jeans, band tees, but same goes both ways! thrift stores r great for thid kind of dtuff, cheaper clothes plus the fun of diy!!!! bear cutiebear cutiebear cutie

Make some patch pants! They're inexpensive to make and all you need is an old black shirt to use for fabric, acrylic paint, gesso (optional), thrifted jeans, dental floss or thread,or embroidery thread, and a sewing needle! I just keep adding patches until I don't have any more space. I currently have 32 patches. They're very grunge/punk!

go thrifting! u can always find super cute things and then tailor them urself

i found a leather jacket for $8 and a pair of old black levi jeans that i tailored and put patches on!

i also found a lot of old band tees there happy

buy locally too

ik amazon is a great and easy way but locally is so much better and you can recycle almost everything

use a lot of safety pins and dont be afraid to just draw on clothes or put random pieces of fabric

on my patch pants i have a piece of flannel with "ask not what your county can do for you but ask what you can do for your country"

dont be afraid to be political too happy
