I am gay and I am kind of open about it depending on the situation and me and my freinds use the term fggot but not in a mean way or anything we only use it to eachother.........I like to think of it as how people of color use the N word but for gays (I am not trying to be offensive this is just the best way I can explain it. ) But yeah me and my freinds kinda use that word jokingly together because most of my freinds are gay so like its something that only we get to do.....is that messed up?

I mean it's a slur that was (and sadly still is) used on people of the lgbtq+. So if your a part of the lgbtq+ community like you said, your fine to use it.

The way I see words like this is if you are all on the same page and know the context of how its being said, not intending it as a actual put down to cause someone harm or emotional distress you're fine.
