Anyone still actively making kandi?

rainbowsmilerainbowsmilerainbowsmilerainbowsmileif anyone is up for kandi trades let me know, I am a retired raver and most of my stuff just sits in boxes. It would be great to give them away to kandi kids who regularly rave :)

I remember this site and how active it used to be around 2012-2016. I’m going to be posted updates of my retired collection and stash. Anything avail I’ll give away to people who want it.

I'm not that active on this site kinda wish someone would make an app for this place. That would probably change the game. I am an huge Kandi maker esp in my group of people. I am on east coast and while I'm not a hardcore festival goer. I do try to make sure I make it to Big Dub every year, this will be my 4th consecutive year going! If anyone is on the east coast be sure to check it out and let me know if your gonna go so we can meet up and trade!

I remember being in middle school and literally everyone was wearing kandi or some type of handmade beaded jewelry. I had a whole group of friends I made kandi with! Eventually as the years went on, less and less people were wearing kandi. I even remember being in high school and people asking me "what it was for" or being fascinated with my (poorly) made epics.

I guess I'm one of the few that fell in love with it and then never really stopped. I still even make kandi backpacks to this day, and I'm working on one right now! It's nice to see there are still some kandi kids around, even if we aren't really kids anymore per se.

I'm still making kandi too.. Not as much as in years past, but I still make a bit of stuff here and there.
I found out that I like making perler things more than I like making bracelets and cuffs. I guess I'm kinda impatient and I can see results of my work much faster making perler designs than with cuffs
I can still remember how to make a basic cuff for perler though so I'm happy

@GalaPyre: Sometimes I do stuffed animal backpacks with kandi straps and make kandi for them (I either thrift the stuffed animals or buy them from Build-A-Bear) or I make the bags entirely out of beads! I'll be posting pictures of some when they're finished <3

Oh man, reading through some of the replies here is almost making me cry...

I feel like I got into kandi/the rave music* scene (about 3 or 4 years ago) too late. Reading posts from people who where there when it was big just makes me feel like I joined as it was dying out.

* I'm not old enough to attend a rave, but I love the music styles!

On the actual topic of the thread, I do still actively make kandi! Just a bit limited on colors, I can't purchase more beads at the moment.

Hell yeah! Still cranking out bracelet after bracelet!

I actually took a break for a lil while n did my first back in the races 3D cuff yesterday! Hoping to get more active on this site again now that I have severed myself from Facebook.
