Magnets w/Perler, Hama, etc...

VeggieTex 2/17/2018 02:54 pm 1765

Hi all! I'm going to make some magnets using perler beads. Anyone have tips/suggestions about what type of glue you use to attach the actual magnet part to the beads (hot, super, etc...), and what brand/type (strip, ceramic, etc...) of magnet I should use? I appreciate your assistance. Thanks!

I am planning on doing the same in the (hopefully not too distant) future. I can keep you updated as I experiment, if that helps any?

I use E6000 glue for the magnets. It works well. Be sure to buy the clear kind. there are many different varieties. You can find this glue at Walmart, Joann, or Michael's craft store. It's not too expensive.

once you stick the magnet on you'll need to place something heavy on it (a stack of books or a large brick) and set it over night

@Myukili: Thanks for the reply! I'll definitely look into that glue. What kind of magnets do you use (ceramic, stick, etc...)?
