How do you follow a cuff pattern using the peyote even stitch?

I understand how to complete a cuff with this stitch but I do not understand how you follow a pattern with this stitch. Like where do you start on the pattern? and just how do you follow it. I have been unable to find a tutorial for this anywhere. Any links to videos would be great.

These are examples of patterns specifically that I want to do

Here is one that covers both even/odd. Am I seeing that correctly though; those look like odd count to me, not even? It's been a long time since I've made them so I might be wrong haha

That you tube tutorial answered the questions i had. But yeah I think that is just more difficult to follow a pattern that way. But thank you!

start anywhere since it all gets connected in a ring anyway.
