is it better to use fishingline for bags and masks instead of stretchy string? is it overall cheaper?

I'm currently using stretchy string (which I buy in HUGE spools online because its cheaper) and I was wondering if fishing line would work any better. If so, could I get some brands/prices/places to buy? Thanks happy

I use lanyard string, its a bit thicker and you can get flat versions, its a little stretchy for flexibility but it work really well for mekao love
