Any advice for not graduating high school?

My AuDHD affects me so much school is pretty much impossible for me and I know I'm most likely not going to graduate from high school. Idk how many other people who haven't graduated from high school are on here but if you have any advice or tips I'l love to hear them! If I don't graduate I refuse to come back to this school in person but I'm not sure what the next best step is. Getting my GED? Doing adult high school programs? Staying in my school district but going online? Every time I try to ask anyone who can actually help brushes me off and say's I just need to try harder so idk what to do. Thanks if you can help!

Even if you don't have any advice it would be nice to know if anyone else on here is or has been in my situation! Not graduating has been destroying my mental health lately and knowing I'm not alone would be nice ^^

Honestly those are all excellent backup plans, wait sounds like the main problem is getting someone to listen to you and speak up on your behalf. Is this your last semester?

@Phosfate: Yea I agree it's hard finding someone who will take my concerns seriously. And yea I was supposed to graduate this June

Hey! SO I've known quite a few people in your situation and usually the route they would go would indeed be getting a GED, trading public school for Adult education, or going online. It's a matter of what's best/accessible for you. I'd reccomend doing your own research on these things, perhaps asking a forum on Reddit and bringing that to your counselour and guardians to go forward with that.

@gothles: Thank you for your input! I have been doing some research and unfortunately my guidance counselors don't take me seriously but I will def ask different people about what they think!

I used to be in your situation, and I thought I'd never graduate and never even thought about college. But I gave it my all, moved out of my mom's house, got on good meds, got a great therapist, and just that gave me so much motivation. I started asking questions, getting extra help, and speaking up in class. Staying after school helps out too if you need a quiet place to speak one on one with a teacher. Now I'm nearly straight As, graduating a year early, and accepted into multiple colleges. It really can get better, I know you may not see it now, but even if you do choose not to graduate, bettering your lifestyle, learning style, and speaking up can help a lot. and if you're graduating in june, then you're so close, if you can hold out at least C & D averages until then, you absolutely can get your diploma /nm /pos

@z_b0n3_r0tt_z: Yeah, they will probably try to make you ride it out unless you can get someone to listen. The good news is it's only a few months, and you might just be able to pull it off. (That does not mean shut up and stop asking. Keep asking. Keep looking for someone who will listen.) If you don't manage to graduate, well, then it's going to be bloody obvioius to the people who are supposed to be helping you that you need an alternative. Either way, you will get a diploma.
