Well, I used to just make singles and wear them before I knew it was called kandi. When I found out it was called kandi, I searched and saw all the cool things people make, so I was inspired to make bigger and better things! Now I can't go without wearing my kandi.xD

I started making kandi because I saw people wearing it, I thought it was colorful and I really liked it. I looked up kandi tutorials on Youtube and bought some beads. Now I love it, even though it can be really frustrating at times when I make a mistake. ^-^

I started making kandi when I started raving, since that is what my friends did. I also liked the way it looked and being the crafty person I am I could do more complicated things than my other friends at the time. Now after 3+ years I am basically the only one who still wears it to raves.

i started making "kandi" bc my friend haley had started the make it over the summer i thought it was pretty damn amazing and she offered to make me a cuff i turned down her offer bc it looked like it took along time and very complicated so she ended up making me 2 any way which started me off..she taught me how to make it and i started (my first few pieces were pretty crappy)i got better and found out it was called kandi about a month later i looked it up and found some videos and learned techniques on harder things ultimatley finding this website c: oh and i dont rave (yet):3

A few years ago, I was taking a jewelry class at high school, and one day, my teacher gave me a very cute bead, and she told me, that she found it and thought of me. So I was determined to make a cute piece of jewelry with it. So I was looking around the classroom and I found like, pony beads, and seed beads, and I made a single using that bead I got as a gift. Around the same time, I saw that my favorite band wore cute pony bead jewelry in one of their music videos so I wanted to wear some just like them. <3 And well, I've made ALOT of singles for years before knowing about kandi and raves. And even after learning about kandi, I never stopped making pony bead jewelry. If I ever go to a rave, I'd so love to trade jewelry. ^^ That would be cool.

i actually started making kandi about 8 months ago after my friend Ollie showed me how to make stars, then showed me part of a cuff she was working on. then, i went home and looked for my pony beads i knew i had to make key chains. then i got some stretchy string and then attempted to make a keyblade cuff with help from a tutorial. it pretty much went from there. a cuff turned into a couple cuffs which turned into masks then into 3D cuffs then it turned into a complain-fest for perler beads. now, here i am with thousands of regular beads and {what I'd estimate} 30K perler beads and so much kandi, i have several containers full and still looking for more space.

that goes for anyone on here. I started making kandi after my friend matt (who i have known for 6 years now) made me a sing on some string that had a slip knot to loosen and tighten it. I thought it was really cool! i went around school showing it off to all my friends and next thing i knew people who didn't even know me were walking up to me in the halls at school and they would hand me singles, doubles, phatties, small cuffs, 3-D thingerz, fuse bead things! i had no idea what to do with it all! One day i went through the drive through at dutch brothers wearing all my kandi, The guy working there asked me if i raved and i said no but i have heard how awesome they are and would like to go. he told me his gf just broke up with him 5 days ago so he had an extra ticket for a small rave in portland i went with him and ended up giving away a lot of my kandi but i had so much fun i started making my own the day after i got back!

Istarted making kandi because i was tired of looking the same as everyone else, and i wanted to be able to wear things that i could make exactly as i wanted. And i love how i can make rainbows and hello kitty and other designs. I also love standing out in the crowd and expressing myself with the kandi that i make.

I just realized I never answered this! I got into making kandi just before my first rave, because I saw in rave photos that a lot of people wore it and I thought it looked cool. I also enjoyed making it

I wanted to start making Kandi because my girlfriend ( Moldycookiez ) Introduced me to it, And I always wanted to have Nintendo necklaces, and bracelets and cuffs. But I could never found some in stores, so then I decided ton make my own, And this is how I first started making Kandi, And I dont regret this, Because this is the most awesomes thing happend to me.

I have been making Kandi for like 5 and a half monts. :3
