UK KANDI SUPPLIES - A Comprehensive List

Hi there, if you're like me you've noticed that most kandi supply posts are aimed at US kandi kids and that's wholly unhelpful when BeadTin shipping to the UK is painful to even look at. So I've put together a list of where I get ALL my Kandi Supplies from, based on my own experience with these stores/companies. beating heart

Beads Unlimited - Basically the British version of BeadTin. a MASSIVE range of beads, like hundreds of pony bead listings. My MAIN source of beads for big projects, they have so many colours and shapes as well as some cute metal charms too. Packs for 500 for £3.90 avg.

Amazon - Good for polymer beads, string and they sell 'ArkCraft 1000 Mixed Beads' for £5 a lot which is AMAZING if you're just getting into kandi (these were my go-to beads at first). I also get all my letter beads from Amazon - they come in packs of 1,400 for £7! Which is nice because it means you don't have to shop for Bezos *too* often. Another buy from amazon is most of my perler beads; most of the time you can find packs of a specific color for like £2-4 for 1000+ beads.

Shein - I try not to rely on Shein too heavily for obvious reasons, but if you're looking for a huge variety of specialty beads, Shein has a great stock of them once you can find them. You have to hunt them down a bit on there, but they have lots of novelty beads and charms too. They also have a nice cheap variety of letter beads!

HobbyCraft - By far my favourite place to shop in person for beads! They have a beautiful matte pastel pony bead tin with 18 colours that they stock in most of their stores, and they usually have a whole section dedicated to letter beads and pony beads. Their pony beads are a tad on the expensive side so I wouldn't recommend them if you're just starting out with kandi OR working on a bigger project. Theyre good for fun singles. ALSO HobbyCraft is one of my GO TO places for perler boards. You can get interlocking packs of 4 for super cheap. They also have a LARGE range of perler beads but once again it's expensive. ALSO ALSO ALSO If your local hobbycraft is anything like mine then they have a pick and mix bead section where you can chose your own for a £4 or £8 pot and fill it to the brim. I HIGHLY recommend this.

The Works - They sometimes stock some nice novelty beads which can be worth getting in stock if you enjoy making charm bracelets or fun singles! Nothing too much here, don't try to rely on The Works.

Wilko - They sell good letter beads + clasps here, perfect for a kandi beginner and also some nice wooden beads if you feel like mixing up some singles. Aside from that not much to say here.

The Range - Not really a huge range of Pony beads but they sell nice tubs of mixed perler beads with some dinky boards in them and some baking paper for around £2 a packet - good to buy if you're just dipping your toes into the perler pool.

TLDR: HobbyCraft and BeadsUnlimited are your best bets, go to Amazon for reliable letter beads and go to The Range if you want to do perlers but don't know where to begin.

I hope this list is of use to someone, it took me a hot minute to put together but if even one person can find some aid with it then it's totally worth it. ALSO if you find this list helpful leave me a comment or something; let me know that it wasn't a waste of time to format all this rainbowsmile
