I can't get they peyote stitch right. help?

Ive been trying for a while now and i cant seem to get it down. beads are turning sideways, i cant keep it tight. Anyone that could help?

That happens with peyotes sometimes when you're tying it off too tight or in the wrong place.

Try keeping on string pulled at something until it doesn't turn sideways anymore? That helps, like when making odd peyote.
