for MLPs, I usually tie a string to the bracelet (i usually put them on ufos) and around the neck of he pony and then another string to the bracelet and around the pony's waist. At least that's how I do it, but i use "retro" ponies ( the ones w/out the "brony" face) so...

Usually i will take a candle and a needle and heat the needle so it will go through the plastic. some use just a lighter which works just as fine but then after you heat the needle you have to put down the lighter and crab the toy and by then sometimes the needle is cooled down already. So if you have the candle you can go right from there to the toy.

It depends on what the toy is. You could use a hole puncher, a hot glue gun, a dremmel, a hot needle, safety pin, etc. Also, crochet hooks and plastic needles are WONDERFUL for pulling elastic/string through the toy.

Heat the needle up with a lighter or a match (I'd suggest a lighter because they're easier to use) and use that to melt a hole in the MLPs. As for hurting yourself you could press it against a table or something else that's hard to get it through. Just be careful if you do heat up the needle because it will burn you, to get past that I recommend using pliers, it makes it much easier. This is how I put toys on kandi, I hope it helps though.

Have you tried heating the needle over a candle? I've heard that helps with some things. With mlp's I think if you just tied clear string around them they could be attached, but it kinda depends what you want to put them on (necklaces, cuffs, etc.). As far as it hurting, try using a thimble or thick gloves. Hope this helped!
