this happened with me and my bf for a LONG time and since we were best friends since 2nd grade, and he lived a good hr away (except on weekends when he saw his dad) we made it work, but then his grades slipped and he felt like he had no choice but to break up with me so that he wasn't hurting me because i was always waiting for him. Now, breaking up is not what i would have done. For you, I suggest talking to him about what to do. Maybe you two should take a break and see other ppl until you have more time for each other. The thing is tho, that i'm not you guys. I say, take one of those phone conversations and really talk to him. make suggestions and decide on something TOGETHER. don't be like me and my ex...together for two years best friends for 8 and couldn't talk things out. if you two love each other, you will make a decision together, and there will be no communication failure. Hope this helps btw i'm not the best love expert considering i'v only been with one guy ever, but i hope you take my words to heart
