herpetology is so cool! I got the chance to work with a BUNCH of cool animals at my summer internship, especially reptiles! They have a bunch of rescues from the animal trade. Some highlights include a Columbian red tailed boa, a bunch of iguanas and chuckwallas, and even a black throated monitor! (He was so big omg)

@M4GG0T34T3R: that’s awesome! Roadkill it’s really hit or miss depending on the state of the body, but you can definitely find some cool stuff for sure! If you ever have any questions, feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help

@ArsonistGarfield: I'm going into malacholagy, etomolagy, and herpetolagy (the study of mollusks, insects, and amphibians) I'm also going to do some work in environmental science bc it's really important to me

@ArsonistGarfield: wow wow wow wow!!! That cool your grandpa taught you! Im still in like regular school and i dont know anyone personally thats into this sort of stuff so i just pick up road kill to try and figure all the tanning and things out.

That’s awesome that you’re going into zoology too! What field do you want to go into? As for myself, I definitely want to work with woodland carnivores, especially big cats, bears, coyotes, foxes, and wolves! There were always a lot of coyotes and foxes around where I grew up, and I’ve always loved watching them when I go on hikes

@M4GG0T34T3R: omg I do taxidermy too!!! My work is less taxidermy and more documented dissections, but my grandpa taught me to taxidermy when I was little so sometimes I keep any oddities or anything else that seems cool XD
