my parents want me to find some new ways to help with my stress because my current ones are super unhealthy

you guys have any tips?

should i go see a counselor?

I just want to say that it’s possible to recover from not handling stress well. I did it myself, even though I thought I’d always be that way. So you might not always struggle like this heart bounce

And yes, consider seeing a professional.

You should see a professional if you are able. My coping mechanisms for stress include scribbling really hard on paper, ripping up paper (I buy cheap old books from the thrift store and rip them up page by page), doing a calming task (for me it's usually organizing), venting in my journal, making kandi, and watching my comfort videos. Hope this helps.

Its always good to get some help professionally because they know what they're doing and can help you find healthier coping mechanisms that work for you. Everyones different ^^ just because someone does something different doesnt make it any less valid. Reaching out for help is the strongest thing you can do but you need to be willing to get the help! Always make sure you put in the effort. The time is completely worth it. I wish you the best of luck on this journey
