Gen Q about caps lock

Why do you guys trigger warn/content warn caps lock? I'm genuinely curious as to how they're triggering. /genq

I'm pretty sure people associate caps with yelling which a lot of people get triggered by because of trauma! It can cause lots of bad things from what i've heard.

@V4MP1RE_GUTZZ: you have no right to tell other people how they should react to triggers. they're not just "literal letters" in the way that to someone with misophonia doesn't see someone chewing gum as "literally just someone chewing gum", and that person with misophonia can't "just leave the room". saying that people with odd triggers should just "get off the internet" is really insensitive dude

it can be read as aggressive or yelling and cause distress, dissociation, splitting, and other bad things. i know cause it happens to me sometimes rainbowsmile

ive heard that ppl think of it as yelling and relate it to parents who yell a lot or something, but genuinely if ur getting triggered by literal letters pls get off the internet and talk to someone, i still tag things w a caps tw if theres at least a sentence in caps or i just use them as less as possible cuz i dont wanna make somebody truly upset but its just letters /gen

ive seen eyestrain warnings for it (which i get) and ppl interpret it as yelling which i also understand

@jUggal0_pUppY: same here :0 i do not understand very well since it helps convey excitment for me but yes!! i try to tag it becaue i dont want to hurt anyone,i do forget at times however :']

I've seen people say they can't help but read a block of all caps text as yelling. Whatever the reason I tag it just as a courteously.soot sprite

ahh ive been wondering the same !!!!
as a person who usually uses all caps as a typing quirk and a way to express excitement thru text it rlly confuses me xD ive never seen it anywhere else!
