I struggle with not being able to distinguish as well! It helps to put yourself in romantic situations in your mind with that person. Would you like them calling you petnames, affection, saying i love you stuff like that. Can you actually see yourself with that person??? Are you close with this person (More for not knowing if you like someone or just wanna be good friends). I really wish you luck in figuring this out, i few years back i was in this situation with one of the nicest girls ever and we ended up dating and yeah we realized we were way better friends haha ^-^

I guess you would know you have a crush on someone when you have romantic feelings for them??? Like would u want to call them ur bf/gf/partner, would u want to be affectionate to them, would u want to be a couple, do couple stuff with them etc.... I don't get a crush on someone if they just randomly do one nice thing for me :p
