there are two common cuff pattern types for you to find on this website: the multistitch cuff (which is the one that looks all zig zaggy with the pointy parts at the top and the bottom of the pattern) and the peyote stich cuff (less common, though you can still find a few patterns for a good peyote stitch cuff on here. it looks like a sideways zig zag). the multistitch cuff is made by making a single out of all of the beads at the bottom and then adding rows going thru every other bead and making sure to step up to the next row once ur done with the row that you just did. since im sure that was confusing af, im gonna also link a tutorial here bc im terrible at explanations xD

i will also link a tutorial on how to follow multistitch patterns here!

for peyote stitch cuffs its basically best for me to just put a tutorial here xD i dont know how to explain those

for peyote stitch patterns you basically just follow it like a multistitch pattern but sideways if that makes any sense lol! hope this helped!!

I ignore the numbers and use a flat peyote stitch! once you learn how to do that it should get easier

well what pattern are you trying to make? may i recomend all of VickysKandiShoppe tutorials on yt. they're detailed, they show how to start, end and visualize your pattern! as a kandi maker of over 2 years, trust me when i say you just need practice! try doing something random before patterns :3

i recommend printing out the pattern you want, then mark two spots right next to each other in the middle then go from there

@dragongrl: i really like this explanation, i also learned cuffs by making the hello kitty cuff and can recommend that too. Also like this person said you can lay all your beads on a table in rows so you dont have to keep checking the pattern /g

SIGHhh I had computer problems this morning and couldn’t post comments so I made a thread and it worked, but I thought it was too random to just leave it there so I’m trying again lol.

I like to lay out all my rows on the table from the bottom up so I don’t have to constantly check the pattern since my eyesight is isn’t great. So I’m basing this off laying out all the rows beforehand

If you look at your pattern, you see all the numbers. Start off with the ones. Starting from the left side, lay out all the ones in a row in order on your surface. That’s your first row and is the base of the cuff. Now the 2s on the pattern look like they are skipping over the ones which looks confusing but all you have to do is line up your second row just like the first. Make sure each row is lined up from left to right so it’s not confusing. And keep the first row at the end of the table close to your lap and place the following rows above in acsending order so you can just grab and string without any hiccups . (Example of row layout: So if the first 5 twos of the second row are black, yellow, black, blue, black, white, then line them up on the table black, yellow, black, blue, black, white, and so on. I stress putting your bead lines from left to right like on the pattern because I’ve confused myself by not doing that and making my bracelet backwards lol. Do the same with the third row and so on. ) When you get to the top of the pattern, your table should have each row layer out in lines from the first row at the bottom of the table close to your lap to the last row at the top, kind of like the pattern is stacked.

For the stringing part, take your long piece of string and put your first row on like you would a single kandi bracelet. Make sure the first row is in order of the pattern. Take the beads from the left side of the bead line and string them till you reach the end of the right side, like the row layout example above. Now your first row is done. Tie yourself a knot but keep one end really long. Cut the short one. Try using surgical knots to tie with because regular square knots tend to unravel. YouTube has some nice knot tutorials if you need a reference. The second row will mean skipping beads. This ones a bit hard to explain but wherever your knot is on the first row, the longest string will need to go through the first bead closest to it in the direction that the longest string is pointing. So the string will naturally want to go in one direction so the first bead in that direction right after the knot will be the one to string the long string through. Now you skip the next bead and string it through the third bead. Skip the fourth and string it through the fifth. And so on. This is why the pattern looks like the second row is halfway on top of the first row. When you come back around to the end, you’ll notice the beads look a little weird. It’s time for the third row and don’t put on a 3rd row bead yet until you’ve seen which bead to slide your string through to start the 3rd row. There should be a two bead gap in between the 2nd row beads. This means you put in two 3rd row beads together on the string before stringing it through the first 2nd row bead sticking up. Also make sure to build on your cuff upwards like a skyscraper and not out flat on the table like a pancake. I did that and got confused. If you build it up, you can see better where the beads are supposed to fit, kinda like laying bricks. When you get to the fourth row the end beads will look weird again but this time you’ll string one 5th row bead and string the string through the first 4th row bead. The next row will be double beaded and the next after that will be single beaded. You’ll start to see the pattern after a few rows. As for tying the end off, there’s a tutorial on here about tying off beads if you want to check that out.

Sorry this is long but I wanted to be thorough since kandi cuffs can be confusing at first, it really frazzled me when I started lol if you have any questions about what I wrote, let me know...
