Selling Kandi for Charity - Thoughts?

Spiderling 9/10/2012 04:09 pm 1166

My boyfriend and I want to start a little shop where we sell kandi and give the money to non-profit organizations such as To Write Love on Her Arms. What do you guys think? How do you think we should go about this?

Talk to the organization themselves maybe, if they have events coming up in your area that you could attend and showcase your work and get ideas on how to go about donating things for them

I think thats an awesome idea, I love TWLOHA (having depression and such kinda causes you to think that) just make sure that the charity is legit before you donate to it

Because I hold all of the original rave values, I just suggest that you don't call it kandi. Call it "beaded creations" or "bracelets" or whatever else. I believe the name 'kandi' should only be used for friendship bracelets-and can't actually be bought, even if you choose to call it that. I support what you're doing though! I'm doing the same for the Trevor Project, just not calling it "kandi".

I think that's a good idea. I'm not against people selling kandi at all-especially for charity. People can sell it for whatever reason they want. big grin
