My pegboards are melting?

I've been making perlers a lot and I noticed that the colored pegboards don't work as well as the clear ones. The clear pegboards are made from better plastic and they don't melt, but my circle pegboards melt around the outside. Do you know if they make any clear pegboards besides the square and how would I get the colored pegboards to stop melting? Thanks 4.gif

look up the masking tape method on youtube. I use this to make sure my pegboards don't melt and so I can iron on a flat surface (I realize this is an old question but it might help people in the future)

o.O Its good to know that this is a potential problem actually I haven't started perlers yet but I was planning to soon. I'll have to keep technique and potential hazard causing color pegboards out of my first batch. Cost efficiency and all.

Ugh I used to hate when that happened. what I always wanted was metal peg boards, I think those would work way better !

You set your iron toohot or your putting to much pressure on it... Jut iron in a circular motin for about 10 seconds then lft it off and you can melt it better on a flat surface
