When making a cuff...

When making a cuff, can you tie off the bottom row like a single, and then simply continue on to make the cuff, or is that not possible? Or did this even make sense xD Haha, sorry if it didn't.

I have always done it by making singles. But after the initial single I cut off the tails. And that way I have one string for each row. So if one row breaks the whole thing doesnt fall apart, just that section does. I would suggest trying a bunch of different ways and choose for yourself which one you prefer lol

Yes, you basically make the bottom row a single, tie it off, and only cut off one end of the string, and use the other to continue around.

Thanks to all the help c: I learned how to make a cuff Crumpet's way (through the tutorials on this site), so I wasn't completely sure. My friend and I were debating if you could or couldn't tie it off. Sorry I didn't know that's how you're "supposed" to make them, but I think I'll stick to the way I've been making them for a while. I'm used to it anyways. Thanks again! c:

Completely possible! I have done it that way ^^ But when you finish off the single, make sure you leave a piece of thread thats REALLY long

Yepp, totally possible! But make sure when you're making the single, you cut the thread realllllly long, then tie the single with one really long side of string and one short end of the string, then you use the long side to string on the new beads. Good luck, message me if ya need any more help :3

I make all of my cuffs like that. I find it easier and you dont have to pull through random beads to start a new row.

It's not necessarily how you're *supposed* to make it. Do whatever works. Personally, I prefer not to tie off after the first row. I'm able to make the beads stay closer together when I wait to tie off.
