We all know that Hot Topic was going to stop selling beaded singles and make them 50% off DIY kits. I went into the store today, even though I hate that place, and I saw those bracelets at their regularly high prices. Next to it I saw a cuff. [Picture below] $8. The pattern is from this website, I can tell. Crumpet said in another question that HT has visited this website multiple times. I saw on the website that they sell rip-off LED gloves for $9. Okay, that pissed me the F off to be honest. They are probably the most awful quality. This all irritates me. I'm not thinking "oh this isnt very plur of them(But is true)" I just think they're obviously trying to attract the rave community, but it's not going to work. Yeah, I'm going to walk in HT with my kandi I made/recived and spend $10 on a bracelet that says "Sex" and "Dubstep." -rolls eyes-

Yep. Just visited the site and saw these three things within 2 minutes. Ridiculous.

I just hope this all blows over soon. I've stopped going to hot topic so often because they're just not the same anymore.

Hot Topic always tries to keep up with trends. In a few months, it'll probably be over with--hopefully, though

It's stuff like this that makes me happy that there are no Hot Topic stores in Australia...I hate that store even more now because of this...I had heard that they were selling "kandi" and I didn't believe it until I saw it on their website.

I saw those 2 days ago and it kinda annoyed me... I give them credit though too if they handmade them because they were made out of mini pony beads~

I can't find it on the site, so it's safe to assume it was just this store. If it was handmade, I give them credit for the patience of making a few of these (The display had 3 out) out of mini ponybeads-hahaha

Hot Topic Corporate has visited three times, but they barely looked at anything. They wouldn't be the ones using patterns anyway. It's hard to tell if this mustache cuff was handmade or mass produced. I suspect that individual stores are choosing to make and sell them. I remember seeing a huge display case a year or two ago that had cuffs made from my patterns, and the patterns had characters on which means that the cuffs were unlicensed merchandise. The corporate office would never allow that.
