Hi! We just recently(ish) discovered that we are a system! There are currently 8 alters that we know of, including me(Alto, He/It)! Here is a link to a carrd with everyones name, pronouns, gender, and more on it https://chewz-system.carrd.co/# !

If you are a system, we have some questions for you! You dont have to answer any questions that make you uncomfortable, of course! All types of systems are allowed to reply.

1. How many alters/headmates are there?
2. How long have you known that you are a system?
3. Do you have a name for your system?

4. Do you have an inner world?
5. Where did you first hear about systems?(if you can remember)

6. What advice would you give to anyone who is questioning being a system?(this doesnt have to be long)

7. What is a misconception about being a system that you want to address??

My reply is in the comments!![Also, people who arent systems can reply to this forum with questions and comments and stuff, just dont answer the questions for systems to answer!!]

@XxShadowWolfxX: a system is basically when multiple alters(short for alternate states of consciousness) live in one body. Usually, each alter has a role in this system, and alters can have different opinions, looks, and basically everything else that defines a person! Like multiple people living in one body.

Systems usually form from having some form of trauma from a young age, but not always. Systems can also have DID or OSDD, but not always!

This is a VERY basic explanation, so if you are interested in this, I would highly recommend researching it! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask! And you asking any questions you have isnt ignorant at all, dont worry!! -Alto(He/It) and Christopher(He/Him)

yeah, of course!

as for me, I'm questioning it, i guess.. i don't know if i'm faking it or something, however i read some of the things that were written for the 6th question. it helps me feel a bit better about my doubt, but it's still kinda there.

a year-ish? were disagnosed / medically recognized by many professionals

3. Do you have a name for your system?

we call ourselves the fear system or kandi system

4. Do you have an inner world?

sorta? its kinda just a bunch of blank rooms

5. Where did you first hear about systems?(if you can remember)

i dont know

6. What advice would you give to anyone who is questioning being a system?(this doesnt have to be long)

dont claim to have did / osdd unless you are diagnosed, talk to a professional if possible , talk with other systems

7. What is a misconception about being a system that you want to address??

dont call us personalities, were all different people. also, not a misconception but something i wanna say, do not ask for someone else to front. we cant force someone to front. just because you wanna talk to fictive alter that doesnt mean you get to try to force us to switch

1. Couldn't tell you an exact number but around 8 - 9 I think. A majority of them are dormant

2. I think it was a few years ago when Sigilyph was suspected of being an alter, didn't know what those were at the time. Only realized we were a system in January when I was doing more in depth research on DID//OSDD for a character I was writing.

3. No, I do like to joke and call us idiots in a trench coat, not all of them appreciate the humor : T

4. From what I am able to see it's a black void with lots of white furniture.

6. If you"re starting to worry whether you"re faking, you most likely aren"t. When faking about something like homework you"re actively aware that what you"re claiming is fake and you certainly wouldn't be worrying if what you're saying is false. Never be afraid to ask other systems for help and advice if you"re still unsure. Also remember that everyone is different, so don't feel invalidated or fake if your experiences aren't the same as another systems.

7. Not really a misconception but something I feel is important to say

You have no right to decide whether someone is faking or not. If you think someone is faking, keep that thought to yourself because falsely accusing someone of faking can be extremely harmful to that system. If there is real evidence and a very real motive for faking that would be a different story and yes there will be other exceptions to this, however in general you should treat every system as if they are real, because they most likely are.

1. 20~ idk an exact number so many people are dormant or never front

2. late November of last year

3. Plants system, or swag system but only 2 ppl call it that

4. yes, i can't access most of it but from what i heard it's huge, it's like a hotel but i can only be in the main room and what we call the fun room (just a play room)

5. i had a friend who was open about being in a system but i had no idea what it meant (i was like 10 and online i was barely conscious) but then i saw a video about it witch made me research it more

6. you aren't faking it if you're worried about faking it, and it's normal if you're only aware of your headmates when they are fronting

7. this is kind of just a way singlets interact with systems but fictives aren't just a way to talk to your favorite characters some fictives don't even act like their source, some fictives HATE thier source, don't define them by their source.

mhm, we have an outdated map for it, too.

we met a friend who was a system, and they introduced us to the concept!
6. What advice would you give to anyone who is questioning being a system?(this doesnt have to be long)
don't pressure yourself to fit in boxes! we're over a year of having identified being one and still are learning about it.
7. What is a misconception about being a system that you want to address??
we are NOT just different personalities! this bugs me a lot. we are each unique people who can talk to each other and have different interests. we also can't just turn which headmate is talking on a dime.
