I officially hate school now.

I just found out I can't wear any beads at all to my new highschool. I'm so devastated. Who else has bad luck like this? :c

Schools are crazy. I go to independent study and I have a whole subject called "Arts and Crafts", so I get credit for my kandi and other things every week xD

Did they give a good reason for why they don't allow it? I was shocked my high school allowed my kandi because I live in this prissy, tourist town. I figured they would say my kandi would reflect badly upon the community or something like that. If it's a public school and you are really that passionate for your kandi, then start a petition and go to the board or something (: Until then, try to respect your school's rules. I don't know if disobeying them would necessarily put you in their good graces.

I would just go to school like nothing is wrong (Because NOTHING IS wrong)And If a Teacher or someone told me I had to take off my bracelets I would have been like "I NEVER take my kandi off. And please don't force me to because I simply WON'T take them off happy" I've had my fair share of visits to the principles office because of my kandi (I was wearing to much they said) And My mom supported me every time. tongue

Wear them anyways. If anyone asks you to take them off, tell them it's against your religion. If they ask you what your religion is, tell them P.L.U.R. happy technically beaded bracelets are against dress code on the main campus of my high school but nobody really enforces it... I wouldn't worry too much.

I was homeschooled throughout highschool, but was public schooled up til then. The middle school I went to was ok, then they wanted to shake things up a little, and change the dress code. The dress code then was even worse. Solid color shirt with no logo at all, tucked into a pair of pants/jeans with no logo. If they had the little patch on the back like most jeans had, you had to rip off the patch or else you couldn't wear it. Shorts had to be no higher than 1-2 inches above the knee (so basically Bermuda shorts were all that was allowed) and a plain watch, plain bracelet, plain necklace, or plain earrings that had no words, logos, or anything else. I got sent to the principal's office for wearing a solid white T-shirt that I was letting all my classmates sign. Ironically, they gave me this XXL (adults) shirt to change into, and expected me to be able to tuck it in. I'm a tiny person as it is, but at the time I was only 12, it looked ridiculous.

Its not that big of a deal. I used to wear a butt load of kandi to school all the time, then I stopped because some scene bitches threatened to cut them off. But the point is, its not that big of a deal, put them in your bag and once school is over put them back on. The reason they do this is because they have been linked to drugs and so certain high schools and states police departments do not allow you to wear the bracelets we do. Its a fact of life, there are rules, and you just have to find the loop holes is all

The high school I went to dis-approved any jewelry at all. All we were allowed was a single plain bracelet, a plain watch, a signet ring and plain ear rings. Wheew for strict private schools. xD

"Radio": Ah, private schools. I've never heard of dis-allowing any jewelry or any beads of any kind though. That seems a bit ridiculous. I know the private school I graduated from last year allowed me to wear three pieces on each wrist, or one cuff on each wrist.. The funny thing is, this school is a public school._.
